On August 23, in the creative space ARTel in Warsaw, the first solo exhibition of Belarusian artist and poet Liudmila Klochko took place. Originally from Belarus, she lives and creates in Poland, working mainly in watercolor. In addition to painting, Liudmila is the author and designer of three poetry collections and a laureate of international literary competitions.

In her works, she strives to capture the transparency, subtlety and movement of the world. She is inspired by the boundary between the material and the spiritual — the moment when an ordinary object, under a careful gaze, can acquire its own character, memory and story. Liudmila says that her art teaches something simple yet important: to guide what we can influence and to calmly let go of what should happen on its own.
She often repeats: “Art begins where the author is surprised by what has appeared.” This phrase perfectly reflects the atmosphere of her watercolors — light, intuitive and full of inner motion.
The exhibition at ARTel became an important step for her. The evening turned out warm and atmospheric: the space filled with soft light, quiet conversations, a sense of closeness and support. Many guests mentioned a truly “cozy lamp-like” atmosphere — calm, intimate and inviting mindful attention to the artworks. The exhibition was followed by a small poetry evening, where guests listened to Liudmila’s poems and got to know the artist more personally.
Photos and short videos from the event are available on ARTel’s social media — saved in reels, allowing viewers to feel the mood of that evening.
